This computer was built on the evening of July 7, 2014. This PC replaced my ASUS due to I got tired of AMD and wanted to switch to Intel, so far I had several problems. I would list it on what happened first, I had returned the RM750 due to I thought it was sparking and then I think it was the coil after I got it replaced with the Seasonic. Then on August I had replaced the case with an NZXT Phantom 530 due to I didn't like some things of the 600T case and then I obliviously see the temps of my 4690K had gone a bit too high due to a did a Prime95 and it reached 90*C which is really not good for overclocking at all. I had did some mistakes that I had accidentally put too much of my Arctic Sliver 5 and still getting the same temps. One month later I had replaced thermal paste and I was cleaning out the old thermal paste. I had put in the new thermal paste which is MX-4 from Arctic Cooling and then I have experienced some motherboard issues due to it shown a error on the board itself. So I had cracked it back open and then I found some thermal paste on socket, I had really realized taking it off with a Q-tip as I did would easily bend the pins.
I had tried to RMA it and it didn't work out for it either since I did physical damage on the socket so my choices are to just buy a new board which I didn't do, instead my friend Hector offered me to trade for his MSI Z77A-G45 and Intel Core i5 2500K and in return I gave him my 4690K which still works and $125. Since it was for the board and also he had a D420 which was used from various tech YouTubers in our tech community which I had bought from him. I had rebuilt it back in October with his stuff and it worked out fine but I had ended up getting something for the USB 3.0 for my case since I bent the pins on the connection socket which was an Anker PCI USB 3.0 hub. Now as I'm talking about storage, this computer originally had a Samsung 840 EVO SSD in 120GB, two Western Digital HDD in 250GB and 1TB both in speeds of 7200RPM. It currently has a Samsung 840 EVO SSD in 500GB which is a massive upgrade from the 120GB and an Seagate Barracuda in 3TB in speed of 7200RPM and I plan on getting another one of these soon for RAID 0. As far as operating systems go, it was running Windows 7 Ultimate in 64-bit originally and then I upgraded to Windows 8.1 in Mid-November in 2014 just to preserve Windows 10 which is coming soon in a several months.
In late January 2015 that I'm starting to have problems with this computer again. Making me think that the RAM is causing trouble due to bluescreens it does. I had tried everything that I can possibly do, reinstalled Windows, put the CPU speed clock back to stock, RMA the RAM to G.Skill, since all of that didn't work and I have no choice but to buy a new motherboard again. This time I bought a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H for $90 and so far it is working flawlessly expect to when I first got it that I had to do something to recognize that it can boot to BIOS. So I did checked my CPU just to make sure that the pins are not bent, checked all of my power cables, and replugged all of my SATA cables. Then I was going to return the board back to the seller who lives in Michigan due to it won't post but he helped me out, all I had to do is to remove one stick of my RAM and my GTX 760 from my system and it works and then I put them back and still works. Due to he gave me great tips that I gave him positive feedback. Hopefully this Gigabyte try not to fail!
In the beginning of April 2015 I had experiencing this same issue again and I knew it isn't my board so I had done another Memtest and found out its my RAM, it didn't blue screen on me about my CPU overclock which is good and better than last time but it's about my GPU drivers took a dump. I had decided to RMA my RAM again so I kind of spent a week without my build and it was the same week that Grand Theft Auto V which is coming out until the kit I bought from a different brand didn't help so I was going down to either my partition of my Windows 8.1 install to downgrade back to Windows 7 as plan A or go from my Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 to a AMD card which is a little more equivalent to that as plan B which I will do if it fails to act on Windows 7. I had decided to downgrade Windows first and see if it will happen and hopefully I may see about Windows 10 if it's stable in a few months because Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 7 in a few years and I wanted a SLI configuration too so I hope that is possible so I can probably run GTA V on max settings since it's equivalent to an single GTX 780.
In May, since I still have problems and I had finally decided to replace and upgrade the CPU to an Intel Xeon E3-1240, it's like a Intel i7-2600 without any kind of overclocking ability and Integrated Graphics. I was also using my this computer to record and render a lot of gameplay vidoes for my gaming channel so when I get a lot of episodes by the 16th then it's time to upgrading and reinstalling Windows. Why I'm upgrading the CPU? The memory controller probably malfunctioned so I think this CPU really have it's time. I'm also planning another giving this another GTX 760 in the fall giving me the power of a GTX 980. Also I also got new fans for the rad too so it's not only the CPU I'm upgrading, those loud 2700RPM Corsair SP120/L fans which came with the H100i will be replaced with a some H100i Noctua NF-12 iPPC-3000 PWM Fans. Also I think it is time to revise it since I changed out the motherboard in March and the CPU in May which is my most recent change.
On June I had finally made my first Hackintosh project ever, I had a spare 1TB Western Digital Black that hasn't been used in several months so I had used that to install it on. I had encountered some problems with
