I bought this machine originally to try out owning a Mac. I had never had a Mac before so this is really my first Mac ever and I learned how the software work and so as the operating system. I had upgraded this to have 6GB of RAM due to a free upgrade while I job trained. I had only had this for 2 months just prior to something I did wrong internally, we all make mistakes but this is the laptop that I really learned from. I was trying to repaste the i5 on this due to I was being freaked out about it reaching 95C while rendering. I ended up tearing up the machine wrong that caused me to have run amok and ended up to fix it. My friend Ryan Gehret offered a free check up and see he can do so I just simply pay shipping to send it to him at his place. Basically what he did that he tried to solder the Magsafe connector since it wouldn't hold a charge at all, he put electrical tape on top of the MagSafe just to keep it in placed due to the stripped screws. Also I broke one of the speaker socket and the mic due to a lack of a iFixit manual. I had heard about iFixit but I didn't looked carefully if there is any manual to remove the logic board or repaste the CPU, at least I know how to navigate the website now so I should never get another failure like this. Once I got it back that I closed the lid and the computer doesn't sleep so I have made my plans to sell this thing due to that. I had checked back inside and the webcam cable looked so wrong, so I had finally took my RAM, put the original ones back in from my E6420, and I salvaged the hard drive. Never again working on another MacBook Pro that it would be personally owned by me even my next MacBook Pro which will be with a Retina display.
