Okay so I had this camera over a year and then it decided to get some things into the interior of the camera during my vacation in Jamaica, I never had a problem using it at all until this. It advertises to be waterproof, okay Fujifilm, you're suppose to make sure that the components if you're making a camera that water doesn't make it in.
The other day my family and I went to the beach behind the place we're staying at and it got sand on in the inside the part that suppose to hold the SD Card, Battery, and the ports. Then few days after that which is yesterday when I posted this blog that I suspected some problems again, it got water in it and killed the camera while we're going to walk from the water at the same beach, yet again my 2GB SD card didn't get wet and I was able the retrieve the pictures and videos that I took into my Dell Latitude E6420. The screen wasn't showing well as I can suspect that the water got into the screen, it shows a effect and it doesn't play the startup sound.
Now when I get back home from Vacation, I'm going to try to replace the camera with Walmart on which I bought it from, good thing I still have the 3 year warranty because I do know it might last that long. Once I get the replacement cam, I'm going to try to sell it. I don't have the money for another waterproof camera right now.
As I could advise, do not buy a waterproof camera from Fujifilm, go and save your pennies for a Olympus or a waterproof camera from a good brand. But still I can't believe that things like sand and water keep on coming in even the camera was suppose to survive on water and not let those things in.
Here is the last picture I took from it below.
