Well I have been planning and discussing about my build in FB Groups but I had made a lot of decisions on what parts that I should get and how it can be compatible with it. Wednesday I had uploaded a video of me picking out my PC parts and how it can be but after that I had made a few changes.
Let's start with the processor, for the processor I picked is the Intel Core i7-4770k. For my video editing and gaming needs, this chip should suit me well. There's also a possibility of me downgrading for a i5-4670k because due to I may not have enough money to get the i7 and consider that CPU as a upgrade.
For CPU cooling is I chose the Noctua NH-D14 air cooler, I know this is complicated choosing a aftermarket cooler for the CPU especially Haswell. It should do good since this cooler has dual fans that are good and a huge heatsink as well. I know Noctua fans are ugly looking but should do good for my build. I also would consider myself the H100i water loop from Corsair but this air cooler is affordable and should do fine.
For the motherboard I picked is a Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H will suit well for this build and even it will match up well. I had picked this motherboard since I know Gigabyte makes great Intel boards and I heard there's a few failures with them.
For the memory, I had chosen Corsair XMS3 16GB in 2x8GB sticks, this will suit me well on running a Minecraft server as well as running virtual machines. Even I can buy another set of these and bump it up to 32GB later on.
For storage, I had chosen a SSD that I'm planning on using for this build which will be a Samsung 840 EVO 250GB, should suit me well on boot-up times as well as starting up programs. I'm planning to use that to store programs, some save games, and Flight Simulator X. Also I have a 1TB Western Digital Clavier Black on which I will store some PC games, then I have a 250GB Western Digital Clavier Blue on that I got for free which I'm going to use it as a downloads drive. I will be also buying a 3TB Seagate Barracuda and use it as a hard drive to store Fraps recordings and things like that.
For video card, I had chosen a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB WINDFORCE since I live in a hot environment and it should be fine to play modern games just fine. I would have gone with a better GPU like a GTX 760 but it should be fine. Another reason on why I'm going with this card because my mom is buying me a graphics card to replace my 650Ti Boost 2GB from EVGA. I could sell the 750Ti for around $130 once I get a upgrade to at least a GTX 760/770/780 or even the 800 series once that comes out.
For the case I had chosen the NZXT Source 530, it's a full ATX case since I want a case under $100 and at least comes with a dust filter for the front fans. I would consider going for a Fractal Design Define R4 but this NZXT case should suit me better.
For the power supply I had picked the Corsair RM750 which is a fully modular and I hear since the RM series of Corsair are good, I had decided to give this a try.
For a optical drive, I had decided to cheapen out on this and get a Lite-On writer. I don't need a fancy Blu-Ray writer since I don't have any Blu-Ray devices around my house.
For case fans I had decided to go with 5x BitFenix Spectre Pro fans in 140mn which should cool down the case well as well as blue LED lighting on them.
Since would miss importing pictures and videos from my SD card reader, I'm planning on buying myself a Sabrent 3.5 SD card reader with a 3.5 to 5.25 converter from StarTech.
For case lighting I have 2x LED Light strips on which I will be using. I got that from eBay for $10 with my eBay bucks.
For the operating system that I'm planning to run on this is Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit) as it should do.
