I had my 3 year old non-working sitting in the floor for 3 months , yesterday my 500GB Western Digital Calivier came and it wasn't the hard drive. As I discovered that I saw a blue jumper when it was missing, there where three jumpers on the motherboard, I looked online and put all three of them in place.
The reason why I removed them in the first place because I thought there was is a power supply cable connecting there. However this results on not having the cooler fan and CPU fan running all the time unlike my GPU (AMD HD 6570). Nothing not displaying and the BIOS doesn't show up. Nothing was wrong with the battery caps or the CMOS battery, it's hard to figure out where the jumpers go due to no letters or numbers.
On Sunday my parents forcing me to look inside my brother's old Compaq which is the same model I had to see where they go but there no letters or numbers as described on the last paragraph, I kept on telling them a billion times and they don't listen. I wanted to get the same new motherboard for this computer, I don't want to but I have to anyway, I'm going to get one on eBay instead of a retail site since its cheaper that way.
At first at all I didn't expect this to happen, the only failures on this computer are a 320GB Seagate Barracuda fail which is replaced by a Western Digital 500GB and problems with the jumpers due to misidentication where they go. My regrets! :(
